Nikita Urs, Registered Associate MFT #139025

Nikita Urs is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She is located in Sherman Oaks, CA and specializes in trauma, PTSD, suicidality, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues. She also specializes in working with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence—hoping to help survivors overcome difficult times in their life.

Having gained her Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology, with an emphasis in Trauma Studies, Nikita is extremely passionate about helping those who have experienced abuse, whether that be in their childhood or adult life. She believes that, although it might seem like an impossible task when experiencing such immense trauma, every person deserves to take control of their life and become the happiest and healthiest version of themselves. She does this by utilizing somatic interventions which help the client realize the connection between their mind and body. Additionally, Nikita aims to use a nonjudgmental approach to build a safe and inclusive environment where her clients can feel like they can be their true selves and work to reach their highest form of self.

Nikita has numerous years of experience working in crisis intervention and suicidality. She believes that empathy is the cornerstone of the therapeutic process. Suicidality and trauma go hand in hand and those thoughts are not something to be ashamed of, but rather, something to be processed and managed.

Nikita’s goal as a therapist is to empower her clients through whichever modality works for them. She sees the connection between your upbringing and your future self and wants to help you bridge the gap. She desires to help foster self-love, gratitude, and confidence and will walk alongside you in your journey in whichever way is most helpful to you.

Nikita offers a variety of therapeutic services that can all be customized for your individual needs.
